CAOA MIGS Policy

In order to become a CAOA Member in Good Standing during the 2009-10 you must accumulate four (4) points per sport and have paid dues for the 2009-10 year. Two of the four points MUST be accumulated through meeting attendance.

Accumulation of points for 2009-10 will begin with the meetings scheduled August 10, 2009 at the MHSAA Building.

Points are earned by doing the following:

  • Attend a CAOA meeting – 1 point
  • Work a CAOA sponsored scrimmage – 1 point
  • Attend the 2010 CAOA Banquet held in March – 1 point
  • Complete the CAOA 5K Run/Walk on September 13 at Hawk Island - 1 point
  • Attend a CAOA sponsored clinic – Point values will vary
  • Observe/Evaluate CAOA officials at a CAOA scrimmage or clinic – 1 point

All CAOA meetings, scrimmages, and clinics will have an official Sign In sheet. You must sign the sheet in order to receive credit for attendance.

Attendance for each event will be posted on your Arbiter schedule. You will have one week from the time of posting to challenge the attendance. After the one week time frame has passed the attendance sheet is final and will not be altered. It is your responsibility to check the Arbiter following a meeting or scrimmage to make sure you have received credit for attendance.

MIGS status for 2009-10 will affect eligibility for the 2010-11 MHSAA tournaments.
